I always make a point of going to see Hot Ice every year. it is one of the best shows in Blackpool, or anywhere for that matter.. The DVD is just ‘Okay’ in terms of picture and sound quality, don’t get me wrong, it is a great souvenir to own while we wait for the show to return in July, however i would love a UHD (Ultra HD) release or at the very least a Blu ray edition for 2022. i spoke to Amanda and she informed me Hot Ice is now filmed using 4k Cameras, so it seems a shame to me that it is only available on Standard definition DVD, others may not agree and i understand people may not be too bothered about picture quality. but i don’t think it is unreasonable to want a souvenir of the show to be as close to a live performance as possible.
